Great Times. Bad Timing.

Hey guys, and today I will be sharing to you guys my trip to Bandung, which is in Indonesia. This trip because of my father's BIRTHDAY TRIP, and needed to take some days off work. And also will be telling about the first test of HOW I studied and what turned out in my examination. But first I will introduce a new system, I would like to call:" The Main Station" Which is to let the reader know all the main things and what they want to look at, because some people like me dont like finding what they want to look at a messy long paragraph or post. :( So this is a new improvement!

    The Main Station:
1: The Arrival
2: Sweet Hotel
First Day
3: First Look
4: Good Shopping
5: The Effort
6: The Touching.
7: Earth Hour
8: The Birthday Song Fail
2nd Day
9: Personal Driver
10: The Shock
11: My First Volcano XP(Not really....)
12: A Helpful Friend
13: Unstoppable Effort
14: Meet "Lenny"
15: Just Relaxing( Hot Spring!)
16:  Just some strawberry farm.
3rd Day
17: The Beauty
18: A memorable Friend
19: End of Trip
20:The Suffering of my Sister
Final Day
21: Good Bye!
22: The Huge "Miss-sick" Begins After!

So as every trip would start, we would go to the airport and do all the boring stuff and until we are reach the airplane. There is where our true story starts.

The Arrival- We arrived Bandung at night, which is not really like my other trips, so we thought it would be safe if we just hired a temporary driver to our hotel that night. So at the entrance of the airport, there he was, the our driver holding up a name: "Lee Yi Wen!" We were shocked, because we were expecting like either my father or my mother's name or something. After we changed our money to Rupias(RP which is Indonesian Money, RM1=RP 3000+), we got to our van and started to go for a ride around the town we were in. After some glimpses of the place, we finally got to our hotel, "Novotel", which happens to be one of the best hotel in that area.
Sweet Hotel- It was a holiday miracle to have such a nice and comfortable hotel. We even have televisions to almost all our favorite "Astro" channels. But what bothered me when we step in to our rooms, is after we stored power using our keys, our televisions just turned on with really strange scary music(No disrespect to the Indonesians, :3) After the long journey, we finally got some shuteye.
TO THE VERY NEXT DAY!!BAM BAM BAMBAM BAM BAMBAM BAM BAMBAM BAM BAM
First Look- We started off our trip and my father's birthday by recognizing the area we were in, looking into the malls and shops nearby, and bought the starter things of all Indonesia!
Good Shopping- As always I wouldnt take part of participating the choices of fashion, because first, I HAVE NO SENSE OF FASHION, and I CANT PICK MY OWN things.(Because I think everything is OK.) I will just come into the shop with them and search for a "Shoes" corner, because there is ALWAYS a stool or a chair. But still we did some good shopping on some "batiks" and "handicrafts".
The Effort- Ive realized something really special about Bandung or entire Indonesia itself, the people there would do anything they could think of to earn money for their families. During a traffic light stop, I saw some people walking around with FULL SILVER PAINT on them(Inspiration of The Gold Man, which gave me a heart attack when I first saw them. Some people even show their talent, singing on the streets with their guitars.
The Touching- But one of the most unforgettable moments of the trip is when a group of little boys, who earn money by supplying umbrellas or even holding the umbrella for us when the rain came. It started off, when a heavy rain just appeared when we were shopping, and the group just came running near the mall. It was a VERY HEAVY RAIN, and to them is just like swimming in the pool, so they just come up to us, with their faces of pity, so we gave them the money and we went across the streets of "safety". They didnt care about getting hit by rain, because money is so much more important to them than health. The funny part, is when I almost lost my 2 slippers when going across the road with extreme water, but one of the members of the group, ran all the way towards the road and grabbed it for me. I WAS EXTREMELY THANKFUL!
Earth Hour- After all the drama at the afternoon, we head back to our hotel for dinner, and we only realized it was EARTH HOUR that night, and there is a NIGHT CLUB specially performing in that hour. So it was a better mood and event for the ending of my father's birthday. After the talk of why we celebrate Earth Hour, they opened up the barbeque tray, and we happily eat while night club sang great songs beautifully in the dimming restaurant with sentimental candles.
The Birthday Song Fail- After the earth hour, they requested what is our favorite songs to end off the night, well the other table said some Indonesian song, but my dad was already outside smoking cigar(He is not a FREQUENT smoker as a reminder, :]), so my mom ordered my sis to inform the band to sing the birthday song, but my sis quarreled and said why dont I go or Mummy because she is my dad's wife. But the quarreling was not finished until they already started packing their things. So it would be REALLY RUDE to tell them to perform by then, so it was a GREAT FAILURE.

Personal Driver- So the journey to unique different places of Bandung starts here, by meeting our personal driver- Dedi! At first we thought we heard "Daddy", but his uniform spelled it for us. First we thought that we were going to have a dull quiet shy driver with a little communication problems, because Bahasa Malaysia is 70% of Bahasa Indonesia, but he happens to speak English and he is very talkative with all of us and is willing to here how Malaysia is compared to Indonesia(By my Father!).
The Shock- Our first destination was a volcano, that we thought was the famous "White Crater Lake" which happens to be dead. But the Perahu volcano we actually went was another famous volcano which we did not been noted about, and happens to be SLEEPING!(A sleeping volcano is alive but not active.) We were shocked to hear this when we were already going up the mountain. Dedi felt a little embarrassed to let us down.
My First Volcano Experience?- No. This is not my first volcano, because I've visited Mount Fuji in Japan when I was FIVE YEARS OLD. So I had no idea how that volcano was, :(, but now Im bigger with greater memory storage, I can now fully experience this volcano. The volcano acts like a big wok with gray steaming soup(Lava?), with lots of sulfuric stench.
A helpful friend-  Dedi wasn't only a driver, he was a friend. He helped us take some pictures and he was very pleasant. He did way better stuff afterwards so I will get there.
Unstoppable effort- Now there are a few ways of earning money in Indonesia. Either you do some crazy helpful things, your amazing hidden talent. But this kind of effort to earn money gets on my nerves - "Never Take NO for an answer!" This will be one of the most dumb ideas of a salesman. If the customer doesnt want that product, you should just say:"No problem! Come back next time for a better product. Enjoy your day!" But at the Perahu Volcano, there were people walking around, introducing handicrafts, haematide keychains and jewelry and other stuff, we said we werent interested and still they keep asking to take a look at it and pretty cheap. To them, our "non-interest" is not having a cheaper price, so they keep making it lower and lower and lower. It was truly annoying and making the customers even more angry. To the extend we finally both some some haematide keychains and wristbands(Which happens to help BLOOD CIRCULATION? Said by the salesman.) But those haematide accessories looked pretty badass. So it was worth buying, but still very unstoppable effort.
Meet Lenny- We came across a (mask and ???)-seller with a ton of them hanging on fences over the ledge. My dad saw these scary looking wolf masks, which would look cool for presentations in school. But it was quite itchy. So I saw the CUTE SIDE of the fence, with lots of adorable wolfies, rabbits and sheeps on hats. I bought the cutest Snow Wolf hat there possible, and named him "Lenny"!
Just Relaxing(Hot Spring!)- After the volcano sighting, we went for a relaxing hot spring at about noon. It was just like every normal hot spring. Only descriptions possible- "Very Hot." But here is the only special part, Dedi was helping us guard the begs and stuff WHILE helping us make memories(Taking pictures! :3)
He needed to a few trips back and fro to take some closes ups or different angles of pictures. The picture taking wasnt neccesary, but it was a very kindful thing for Dedi to do.
Just some strawberry farm- To be honest, the only cool place that day was the Perahu Volcano. Because this strawberry farm is all out of business.(No more strawberries to pluck or see. :( ) So basically we just wasted our journey here. Dedi didnt come with us so we sticked around and found something to eat.(Actually my mom and sis went to the toilet, while I ate this Indonesian Otak-Otak which was this small fish piece without ANY TASTE and Malaysian Otak-Otak is spicily delicious. And that was the end of the 3 trips in Day 2!
TO THE VERY NEXT DAY!!BAM BAM BAMBAM BAM BAMBAM BAM BAMBAM BAM BAM
The Beauty- Early in the morning(9am, LOL!), Dedi brought us to the Magnificent, Well Knowned "White Crater Lake"!! It was I think the best place on Bandung, because it was really THE BEST SCENERY I've seen in my whole vacation history. Im quite good at describing things that I imagine, but for reality, Im real bad at it. So this is my description of the White Crater Lake: It was greenish blue, we were up high but the sun was kind and didnt let its light ruin the beauty. It was like heaven's pool of wonders. But in reality, one finger down the pool instant vapour to your hands. The scary steam floated up from the crater. It was White Crater. That turned out to be quite nice, but still it was the best picture for a fornt cover on this post. Hopefully in the future, I can upload the picture for you all to see, or GOOGLE IT!
The Magnificent White Crater Lake
A memorable friend- After having a great lunch, we head back to our hotel and needed to say Good Bye and Thank You to Dedi because that was the end of our journeys. Why only one place for a day? Well because going to White Crater takes 2 HOURS 3O MINUTES to reach, so going to White Crater+The time taken at White Crater +Stopping by to get lunch+Getting back to the hotel, takes about EIGHT HOURS(2HR30MINS+2HR+1HR+2HR30MINS=8HR). But Dedi was a friend hard to forget for all his effort on making us happy!
The suffering of my sister- My sister went through a painful process at the last night of our trip. We didnt know about what's happening to her until we reached home, and found out that her intestines are swollen. But still no reason for it yet. But she was in deep pain that night, and we couldnt really do anything about it.
THE LAST DAY!!
Good Bye!- So that was it for the Bandung trip, I will never forget the effort the people give to earn money, the spectacular taste of Indonesia's good food, and our great and helpful friend, Dedi.
The Huge "Miss-sick" Begins After! (What's a Miss-sick?)
